Senior Staff Software Engineer - Payments & Invoicing (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $220,500–$298,500 per year, plus eligible cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build world-class payments and invoicing capabilities across customer segments.
• Drive customer, business, and technology outcomes by identifying and leading high-impact opportunities.
• Contribute hands-on to code, architecture decisions, and end-to-end technology initiatives.
• Design and implement durable, scalable, secure, and high-availability software solutions.
• Partner with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex problems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Guide the application of AI to customer problems and validate solution accuracy with evaluation tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
• 7+ years of experience designing complex distributed systems, management products, or business applications.
• Full-stack development experience with AI technologies applied to user experiences or backend solutions.
• Experience with SageMaker, Vert.x, LangChain, large language models, prompt engineering, Dialogflow, and Python.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, and Spring.
• Experience building AI-native applications for at least one year, including coding with tools such as Claude and developing custom plugins or applications.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a cloud computing environment such as AWS or GCP.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
