Senior Engineering Manager, Grafana Frontend

Location: Spain (Remote)

Base compensation: EUR 106,680–128,016 per year; RSUs included.

What you will do

• Lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads, owning performance, delivery, team health, and customer outcomes.
• Hire, plan capacity, delegate effectively, coach senior engineers, and develop technical leaders.
• Lead customer, community, and internal-user discovery and translate feedback and usage evidence into roadmaps.
• Partner with Product, Design, and engineering leaders to set priorities, resolve dependencies, and manage delivery risks.
• Set engineering direction for frontend foundations, navigation, search, developer experience, accessibility, architecture, tooling, reliability, and multitenant capabilities.
• Lead the adoption of AI and automation, participate in the engineering management on-call rota, and improve incident response and engineering productivity.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing senior engineers, building healthy teams, and developing technical leaders.
• Strong technical foundation in modern web or frontend systems and experience making architectural and engineering-quality decisions.
• Experience turning ambiguous cross-team problems into clear priorities and measurable results.
• Strong product and customer judgement with clear, concise written communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed organisation.
• Practical experience using AI and automation in leadership work and leading teams through adoption.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TypeScript, or comparable large-scale frontend ecosystems.
• Experience leading developer platform teams supporting plugins or extensions.
• Experience with navigation, search, information architecture, resource management, multitenant SaaS, or platform migrations.
• Experience working on a widely adopted open-source product.
