Public Health Clinical Nursing Faculty

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment

What you will do

• Teach and mentor BSN nursing students in inpatient and outpatient community health clinical settings.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision while students deliver nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Prepare clinical assignments, review coursework, and maintain communication with course coordinators and clinical agencies.
• Support curriculum implementation, program assessment, student retention, and college operations.
• Teach supervised didactic content when assigned and comply with applicable regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Virginia.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; course assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Teaching experience is not required.
