Pediatric BSN Nursing Instructor - Per Diem - Fresno

Location: Fresno, California, USA; on-campus clinical and skills-lab instruction

What you will do

• Provide pediatric nursing instruction in skills-lab and clinical settings according to the established curriculum.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities, including day, evening, and weekend rotations.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students against clinical learning outcomes, providing timely performance feedback.
• Maintain attendance records, skills check-off forms, student records, and requested program outcome data.
• Coordinate clinical assignments with student and facility needs and submit required reports to the Academic Site Director.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, quality improvement activities, and ongoing student communication.

Requirements

• Valid, unencumbered California Board of Registered Nursing license required.
• Eligibility for approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing as an instructor in Pediatrics or another approved nursing subject required.
• Master’s degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration and academic preparation for the teaching subject; BSN candidates currently enrolled in a master’s program may be considered for a Clinical Teaching Assistant role.
• At least four years of registered nursing experience, including one year within the last five years, providing direct patient care.
• Expertise in pediatrics or another listed nursing area, such as medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, labor and delivery, community health, mental health, or critical care.
• Experience teaching nursing courses or completion of a nursing teaching course is preferred.
