What you will do

• Provide crisis intervention, behavior management, and individual or group counseling to students and families.
• Develop and implement social-emotional development and intervention curricula.
• Serve as a case manager and member of the Child Study Team.
• Evaluate student, family, home, community, and school factors affecting social and academic adjustment.
• Coordinate referrals, monitoring, and evaluations with external resources and community agencies.
• Partner with educators and families to strengthen student attendance, behavior, learning, and school engagement.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work and LMSW licensure required.
• Valid School Social Worker Certification from the New Jersey Department of Education required.
• Demonstrated achievement, self-motivation, teamwork, and commitment to improving students’ lives.
• Alignment with Uncommon’s core values and educational philosophy is required.
• Experience working in urban schools is highly preferred.
• Participation in an annual three-week staff orientation and training is required.
