Adult Career Advisor (Workforce Development)

Location: North Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; onsite at Clark County Library District, Job Connect, and/or designated EmployNV workforce development hubs

Salary: $25.00–$25.50 per hour

What you will do

• Advise job seekers on career goals, job search strategies, training options, and barriers to employment.
• Manage customer relationships, monitor participation, provide motivational support, and document case notes.
• Assess training needs and connect customers with appropriate programs, services, and community resources.
• Facilitate job-readiness and job-search workshops and support customers through training and employment.
• Review resumes and eligibility documentation, maintain accurate records, and document customer success stories.
• Create career advisement procedures, support team training, and prepare correspondence, reports, charts, and tables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or a related field, plus two or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with career counseling consumers in a high-volume human services or workforce development environment.
• Strong communication, organization, computer, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Experience presenting workshops and supporting individuals facing barriers to employment.
• Knowledge of job-search strategies, referral resources, local community needs, and workforce services.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM, work overtime when required, and travel within Clark County when necessary.
