Community Outreach Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX, USA; travel between workforce centers and community sites is required.

Salary: $22.84 per hour, Monday–Friday.

What you will do

• Deliver program orientations, presentations, and workshops for job seekers.
• Register participants in WorkinTexas.com and screen them for WIOA program eligibility.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group job-search assistance, including interview preparation, resume writing, and job-search techniques.
• Match job seekers with employer needs and available job postings.
• Complete data entry, documentation, tracking, and reporting accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with community organizations and provide youth workforce services at workforce centers and community-based sites.

Requirements

• Associate degree or comparable experience in case management and job matching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and public-speaking skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and adapt services for individuals and groups.
• Familiarity with the communities served and knowledge of local needs and resources.
• Computer proficiency, including word-processing and spreadsheet software.
• Strong organization skills and ability to maintain professional relationships with coworkers, partners, and the public.
