Senior Manager, Quality Engineering (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; home office position

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 annual base salary, plus performance bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead AI-first design and execution of functional, nonfunctional, regression, and automated testing strategies across international markets.
• Oversee defect tracking, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into test scenarios, traceability matrices, and risk-based testing approaches.
• Monitor program metrics, deployment schedules, continuous integration practices, and overall program health.
• Improve testing processes, automation methodologies, and quality gates while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor team members in automation engineering, test design, execution, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area with 5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of relevant quality assurance/testing experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive experience in quality engineering, manual and automated testing, root cause corrective action, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing test strategies, traceability matrices, risk-based analyses, and data-driven quality metrics.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, defect management, mentoring, and process improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in software engineering quality assurance, manual/automated testing, or a related area.
• Quality assurance certification such as CSTE or CSQA.
• Experience in retail, supply chain, ecommerce, healthcare, or related industries.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
