2027 Internal Audit Summer Internship (Financial Services)

Location: Boston, United States; daily in-office presence required

Salary: $25/hour plus a sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Support audit planning, fieldwork, testing, documentation, reporting, and issue follow-up.
• Assess business risks and evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Document audit results, communicate findings, and support recommendations for process improvement.
• Develop familiarity with internal control frameworks, regulatory expectations, SOX, COSO, and audit standards.
• Participate in discussions with business stakeholders and senior leaders about risks, controls, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with interns across business lines on a capstone project and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Current college junior entering senior year in Fall 2027, with an interest in audit, finance, business, accounting, risk management, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.3 or higher.
• Leadership, initiative, and accountability demonstrated through academic, work, volunteer, or extracurricular experience.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and questioning skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including formulas, basic charts, pivot tables, and simple analysis.
