Supplier Project Manager (Nuclear/Defense)

Location: Cheswick, Pennsylvania, United States; facility-based role with a flexible 9/80 work schedule and 50% local, domestic, or international travel.

Salary: $99,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end projects delivered through mission-critical suppliers and serve as the primary supplier project management contact.
• Manage supplier scope, schedules, costs, risks, milestones, deliverables, capacity, and on-time delivery performance.
• Develop suppliers through capability, yield, throughput, communication, and risk-management improvements.
• Facilitate technical reviews, production and first-article readiness reviews, PFMEA, control plans, process audits, and on-site oversight.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, nonconformance dispositioning, and preparation for inspections, audits, and regulatory or customer visits.
• Collaborate with design engineering, sourcing, supplier quality, supply chain, and program management teams to improve supplier processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent experience in a supplier management lead role.
• At least five years of project management experience.
• Experience in commercial nuclear, defense, aerospace, energy, or similarly regulated industries.
• Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Strong project scheduling, prioritization, organization, communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration, engineering management, management, or project management.
• Prior experience working on-site with suppliers.
• Knowledge of commercial nuclear quality systems such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1, or defense standards such as ISO 9001 and MIL-I-45208.
• Green or Black Belt Lean certification.
