Software Engineer (Spatial Data/AI)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain staged, versioned pipelines for ingesting and conflating complex retail data.
• Match computer vision detections with master product catalogs and produce unified, high-fidelity records.
• Ensure consumer-facing dashboard data meets high standards for accuracy, reliability, and production readiness.
• Apply rules-based normalization and RegEx for bounded tasks, and integrate LLMs for complex matching and entity resolution.
• Design cost-effective, performant solutions for large-scale retail environments.
• Manage data schemas and pipeline logic through rapid iteration without breaking downstream insights.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building reliable, staged pipelines for complex ingestion tasks.
• Experience merging disparate, messy data sources into unified golden records.
• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt engineering, together with strong judgment about when to use simpler heuristics or RegEx.
• Strong engineering rigor around versioning code, data schemas, and pipeline logic.
• Experience with retail, logistics, or supply chain data, including SKUs, UPCs, or physical inventory.
• Experience with spatial or geographic data such as GIS, LIDAR, or computer vision metadata.
