DevOps Integration Automation Engineer (Azure DevOps)

Location: Hybrid, on-site 2–3 days per week in Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia; U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher are required.

Salary: $73,400–$136,300 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for builds, releases, deployments, testing, validation, and artifact promotion.
• Create reusable Azure Pipelines templates, tasks, scripts, APIs, webhooks, and utilities using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and related technologies.
• Implement DevSecOps stage gates, quality gates, approvals, security checks, automated testing, and deployment controls.
• Integrate Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, Pipelines, testing tools, security tools, and external release-management platforms.
• Automate PeopleSoft migration and release processes through PHIRE or comparable configuration-management tools.
• Implement logging, monitoring, auditing, recovery, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational support for delivery workflows.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, release automation, software engineering, systems integration, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Repos/Git, Azure Pipelines, CI/CD, reusable pipeline components, and governed release workflows.
• Experience with automated testing, security validation, stage gates, approvals, artifact promotion, traceability, and production releases.
• Experience with REST APIs, service hooks, secure credentials, secrets, certificates, authentication, logging, monitoring, and scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Nice to have

• PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, PHIRE, STAT, Change Assistant, or PeopleSoft Test Framework experience.
• Experience with SAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning, artifact repositories, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery, secured Federal or DoD systems, or relevant Azure DevOps and DevSecOps certifications.
