Controls Engineer Technician II (Industrial Automation)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina, United States; onsite five days per week. Schedule is four days per week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential overtime on Fridays.

Salary: $32.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, install, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation and plant control systems.
• Diagnose electrical, software, pneumatic, and mechanical issues involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related equipment.
• Develop, modify, and document PLC, HMI, SCADA, embedded control applications, interfaces, schematics, layouts, diagrams, P&IDs, and BOMs.
• Install, test, calibrate, and commission new controls, automated equipment, processes, and upgrades.
• Support maintenance and engineering teams with control-system troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, safety, and reliability improvements.
• Train maintenance and operations personnel and coordinate technical requirements with external vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

• Associate degree in applied sciences or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of hands-on electrical experience, including Allen-Bradley PLC programming, hardware, and equipment troubleshooting.
• At least three years of experience with pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and ladder logic.
• Strong analytical, technical, planning, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational levels while working both independently and as part of a team.
