Specialist, Production Planning

Location: Onsite at the San Luis Obispo, California facility

Salary: $77,000–$85,000 annually, with actual pay based on overall skills and experience.

What you will do

• Review material availability and release work orders for kitting.
• Coordinate replenishment activities with procurement and support production with part shortages.
• Manage work order materials, approve unused component returns, and update configuration changes.
• Confirm stock-to-order work orders and deliver them to logistics.
• Maintain Kanban and safety stock inventory levels with planners, warehouse management, and procurement using supply-demand analysis.
• Analyze work order variances, close completed work orders, and escalate financially significant discrepancies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and mining data.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to walk throughout the facility daily and work onsite in San Luis Obispo, California.
