Manager, DC Construction - Project Accounting (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; onsite role. Applicants must have U.S. work authorization that does not require current or future sponsorship. The role requires access to export-controlled information and therefore requires eligibility under U.S. export regulations.

Base salary: $115,000–$153,000 per year, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own project structures and cost hierarchies for data center construction, including projects, phases, buildings, and data halls.
• Manage construction-in-progress ledgers, cost accumulation, capitalization policy application, monthly rollforwards, and account tie-outs.
• Run monthly open-PO accruals, reversals, re-establishments, and cost-to-complete analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Determine when assets are ready for intended use and capitalize completed assets into the fixed asset register with appropriate unitization, asset classes, and useful lives.
• Partner with construction, operations, accounting, finance, leasing, and financial planning teams to validate asset readiness and in-service dates.
• Maintain SOX 404 controls, support internal and external audits, and lead process improvements and financial systems implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong background in capital, construction, or fixed asset accounting.
• Experience owning an end-to-end month-end close process and accounting for CIP, capitalization, accruals, and placed-in-service assets.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance, including control documentation and external audit support.
• ERP experience is required; NetSuite and project costing experience are advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with construction and operations teams and work effectively with ambiguity and tight deadlines.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future company sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Capital or construction accounting experience in data centers or other capital-intensive infrastructure.
• Knowledge of capitalized interest under ASC 835-20 and capitalized labor concepts.
• Big Four public accounting experience, CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience working with AI tools.
