Software Project Manager III (Gen AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid work at Willis Tower with 2–3 days in the office weekly in the Chicagoland area. Preferred hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rare travel of approximately 5–10%.

Salary: $60–$65 per hour

What you will do

• Manage and oversee GEN AI projects across multiple teams.
• Coordinate backend architecture, front-end design, IT, business, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, and Product Manager stakeholders.
• Develop project schedules, track progress in Jira, Azure DevOps, and MS Project, and provide weekly status reports.
• Present project status to the steering committee and resolve issues promptly.
• Apply agile methodologies and sprint processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify risks and opportunities, manage changing priorities, and drive process improvements for timely delivery.

Requirements

• Proven project management experience, preferably with AI or technology-related projects.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and sprint processes.
• Leadership, communication, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, and MS Project.
• Understanding of GEN AI concepts and technologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days weekly in the Chicagoland-area office.
