Warner Chappell Music Publishing Intern (12 month FTC) (Music Publishing): Supporting music publishing through rotations across creative, rights, royalties, copyright, income tracking, and sync teams with an accent on songwriter support, catalogue management, licensing, and royalty accuracy. Focus on researching artists and opportunities, managing copyright and royalty data, tracking missing income, creating campaign materials, and coordinating music licensing activities.

Location: GBR - Electric Lighting Station, London; minimum 4 days per week in the office

Warner Chappell Music is the music publishing division of hirify.global, supporting songwriters through rights management, licensing, royalty administration, creative services, and catalogue development.

What you will do

  • Rotate through a selected Creative or Rights & Royalties pathway and contribute to real music publishing projects.
  • Support copyright registration, rights queries, catalogue administration, and collaboration with global copyright teams.
  • Analyse royalty statements, usage data, metadata, and income reports to identify discrepancies and missing revenue.
  • Research emerging artists, songwriters, producers, cultural trends, and commercial opportunities.
  • Create campaign assets, pitch materials, playlists, and reports using tools such as Google Slides, Canva, CapCut, and DISCO.
  • Support sync licensing, client outreach, clearances, project coordination, and industry event activity.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work from the London office at least 4 days per week.
  • Must be 18 or over; previous music industry study or experience is not required.
  • Curiosity about music publishing, songwriters, artists, or the wider music industry.
  • Clear and respectful communication, strong organisation, attention to detail, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage time across multiple tasks.
  • Comfort using Google Workspace or willingness to learn it.

Nice to have

  • Ability to create high-quality presentation decks and visual materials with Canva or Google Slides.
  • Proactive use of generative AI tools such as Gemini to improve productivity.
