Associate Tape Producer, MS NOW The Weekend

Location: New York, NY; must be willing to work onsite and have unrestricted work authorization in the United States.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Cut video and collaborate with editors to create compelling television and digital segments.
• Support producers with desktop editing for broadcast and digital content.
• Edit and publish segments, showcasts, and other content across MS NOW platforms.
• Gather production elements and review all video for quality before broadcast.
• Assist segment producers with research and production for The Weekend.
• Create content for digital platforms, social media, and MS NOW direct-to-consumer products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of production experience.
• Proficiency with desktop editing.
• Knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work in New York, NY and flexible hours under tight deadlines, including breaking news.

Nice to have

• Editing experience with Avid and Adobe Premiere.
• Experience producing visual stories with graphics, video, and sound.
• Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms.
