Senior Telecom Commissioning Engineer (Railway Systems)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; full-time on-site field presence required

Expected compensation: CAD 120,000 annually, with the final amount based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end commissioning and start-up of railway telecommunications systems, from planning and pre-commissioning through testing and client handover.
• Develop commissioning schedules, plans, manuals, reporting structures, and team accountabilities.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with third-party providers, internal teams, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
• Create pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation, resolve deficiencies, and prepare compliance and progress reports.
• Develop quality, environment, and safety commissioning plans and secure client acceptance sign-off.
• Coach junior engineers, review their work, and manage assigned projects independently.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in telecom engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in railway system engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Availability for full-time, on-site, field-based work in Mississauga.
• Ability to pass a clear background check.
• English required; no Canadian work experience is required.

• Professional Engineer license (P.Eng) registered in Ontario.
