AI Product Engineer

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work with in-office collaboration three times per week.

What you will do

• Partner with HR and other corporate teams to build internal dashboards, portals, web applications, reports, integrations, and workflow solutions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex while applying engineering judgment to generated output.
• Administer, optimize, and expand a multi-tenant Databricks platform for analytics and business intelligence.
• Teach non-technical stakeholders to create and maintain AI-assisted workflows through group sessions, pairing, guidance, templates, and guardrails.
• Deliver secure and maintainable solutions with the product engineering team, including documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and timely fixes.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience, or a recent relevant degree, diploma, or bootcamp qualification.
• Hands-on experience with agentic development tools, agentic instructions, and MCP servers.
• Knowledge of programming fundamentals, GitHub, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logs, metrics, and troubleshooting.
• Experience building modern web frontends with React or similar technologies and backend REST APIs.
• Familiarity with relational/SQL, NoSQL or key-value databases, cloud platforms, serverless concepts, software delivery methodologies, and IT security.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.

Nice to have

• Experience with HRIS platforms, especially Workday, or with HR, people data, recruiting, payroll, or benefits systems.
• Experience with Cloudflare, AWS, Cloudflare Workers, Docker, DevContainers, Jira, Monday.com, or open source projects.
• Experience working at a B2B or SaaS company.
