Payment Operations Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA, with office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week. hirify.global also has offices in Denver and Scottsdale; approved non-office work requires a secure, reliable, consistent internet connection.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end operational workflows for ACH processing, exception handling, refunds, collection re-debits, and reconciliation.
• Investigate payment issues, escalate incidents, coordinate outage responses, and drive problems through resolution.
• Partner with Product and Engineering on specifications, requirements, operational improvements, and launches.
• Analyze customer and CX feedback to identify payment-flow friction and prioritize improvements.
• Work with domestic and international bank and payment partners to triage issues and resolve escalations.
• Use AI for analysis, communication drafting, data synthesis, and repetitive-work automation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in payment operations, banking operations, treasury operations, fintech, or financial institutions.
• Working knowledge of ACH/Nacha, wires, RTP, cross-border transfers, FX, or global disbursement networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to query or structure data; SQL is a plus.
• Experience with bank portals, payment processors, or reconciliation tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication with operational, technical, and banking partners.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, take ownership, and build AI fluency.

Nice to have

• Experience across both domestic and international payment operations.
• Knowledge of Nacha operating rules, unclaimed property, or money transmission compliance.
