Engineering Manager, Cloud Efficiency

Location: US-WA-Bellevue; hybrid

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers while fostering technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Define the Cloud Efficiency roadmap, including authoritative cost data, resource ownership, attribution pipelines, unit economics modeling, observability, governance policies, and optimization workflows.
• Set technical strategy for backend systems, data pipelines, APIs, AI skills, and agents that measure and optimize cloud usage and spend.
• Own delivery from planning and design reviews through execution, launch, and iterative improvement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrations and customer outcomes.
• Represent the team in broader engineering initiatives and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems, data engineering, or cloud-native backend development.
• Experience building cost management, budgeting, billing, or FinOps tooling in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Experience with anomaly detection, time-series analysis, or ML-driven cost optimization products.
• Ability to define and execute multi-quarter technical roadmaps, lead complex system design, and balance delivery with long-term platform health.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
