Associate Engineer, Electrical (Rotation)

Location: Hanover, New Hampshire and Kent, Washington; rotations between both locations are required

Salary: $66,207–$110,347 annual base pay

What you will do

• Rotate through engineering assignments as a Design Engineer before joining a permanent team.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in electrical subsystems for plasma and waterjet cutting systems, CNC equipment, and torch height controllers.
• Maintain released products, execute sustaining engineering changes, and manage alternate electronic components with suppliers.
• Lead cost-saving and product-improvement initiatives, including design changes, verification, validation testing, and business-case development.
• Analyze technical documentation and test data to verify functional and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, PCB design, technicians, manufacturing, and quality teams while supporting lab activities and project timelines.

Requirements

• Currently completing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, graduating in December 2026 or May 2027.
• Basic engineering analysis, implementation, lab testing, and evaluation skills.
• Ability to contribute to designs and analyze routine problems under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Ability to understand and follow project plans and maintain established product design principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across teams.

Nice to have

• Internship experience designing highly technical industrial electrical products.
• Embedded systems experience with microcontrollers, serial interfaces, and analog and digital circuitry.
• Reliability design, regulatory design, CAD, SolidWorks, instrumentation, or project management experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing environments, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, flow measurements, or thermal measurements.
