What you will do

  • Provide expert sanctions guidance to business, operations, and technology divisions on funds transfers, securities trades, complex transactions, and investment banking deals.
  • Assess and investigate sanctions matters involving US, UK, and EU regulations.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, internal assessments, disclosures, and responses.
  • Advise on sanctions controls and assess the impact of new or expanded business activities.
  • Support regulatory and internal audit examinations and engage with OFAC and other government agencies.
  • Deliver sanctions training and contribute to FCC governance forums.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of sanctions advisory experience at a global financial institution or relevant government agency.
  • Substantive knowledge of US OFAC sanctions and experience advising first- and second-line stakeholders on sanctions risks and control requirements.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance, manage multiple priorities, and deliver recommendations under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or JD preferred.
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to mentor junior colleagues.

  • Experience with UK and EU sanctions regulations.
