Principal Software Cloud Engineer - Hybrid Cloud Platform Owner (AI/ML)

Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; onsite work required four days per week at the hirify.global facility

Salary: $146,400–$219,600 per year plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Own the hybrid cloud platform roadmap, product capabilities, availability, performance, lifecycle, and stakeholder value.
• Lead hybrid cloud and migration strategy for an automated private cloud ecosystem and modern application services.
• Design interoperability across on-premises cloud, public cloud, and edge platforms with focus on efficiency, security, and performance.
• Coordinate workload modernization and migration with application owners, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD integration, infrastructure as code, FinOps, TCO/ROI analysis, and cloud spend optimization.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor onshore and offshore partners, communicate roadmap progress, and maintain architecture documentation and operational playbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience, or an advanced degree and at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Aria, Ansible, or JSON.
• Experience deploying and provisioning Kubernetes and managing container platforms in hybrid or migration environments.
• At least 3 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing VMware infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting hybrid cloud storage, networking, compute, and operating system components.
• Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, communication, automation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU-enabled AI/ML or high-performance computing infrastructure.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, scripting, data migration tools, FinOps, chargeback/showback, and cloud spend optimization.
• Experience supporting predictive analytics, AI/ML, or IT delivery automation.
