Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid

Base salary: £90,000–£110,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Build and maintain software across user interfaces, APIs, and supporting data pipelines.
• Turn emerging ideas into MVPs and proof-of-concepts to accelerate customer feedback and product iteration.
• Make implementation and architectural decisions within existing platform constraints and evolve the architecture thoughtfully.
• Support production software through maintenance, documentation, and operational follow-through.
• Contribute through code review, mentoring, tooling improvements, and cross-functional demos.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Python as a primary language, with the ability to work across a polyglot stack.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems independently and make sound engineering decisions.
• Experience working within existing platform architecture rather than defaulting to rewrites.
• Clear technical communication, documentation, collaboration, and constructive code review.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment and using AI productively in development.
• Availability for a hybrid role based in London.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial data, GIS, remote sensing, or Earth Observation.
• Familiarity with Postgres, PostGIS, NumPy, GeoPandas, or Xarray.
• Experience with data pipelines, Python APIs, database management, application development, or visualisation.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or NestJS.
