Staff Global Trade Compliance Specialist (Robotics)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $90,000–$110,000 annually, plus benefits and an annual bonus structure.

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, Wassenaar, OFAC, and dual-use controls.
• Perform denied-party screening for international partners, customers, and vendors.
• Manage export licensing, provisos, trade declarations, and controlled-technology documentation.
• Lead internal trade compliance audits, support regulatory audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee Free Trade Zone operations, including admissions, inventory, reporting, and duty deferral processes.
• Classify products using HTS and ECCN codes and coordinate shipments with engineering, manufacturing, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in import/export trade compliance, international logistics, supply chain, or a relevant high-tech/electronics environment.
• Practical experience using the ACE government platform.
• Strong capability in ECCN and HTS classification under U.S. and international frameworks.
• Knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC, sanctions, customs, and dual-use regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Familiarity with EU trade regulations and European business units.
• CCS, CES, or equivalent trade certification.
• Experience with Free Trade Zone management, customs valuation, or assist reporting.
• Experience with Salesforce or enterprise GTM/GTS software.
