Senior Graphic Designer (AI)

Location: Remote with the ability to attend in-person meetings at TISTA headquarters in Rockville, Maryland

Salary: $85,000–$98,000 per year

What you will do

• Design brand-compliant graphics for federal proposals, including infographics, process flows, solution diagrams, organizational charts, timelines, and data visualizations.
• Translate technical, operational, and management concepts into clear, audience-focused visual communications.
• Create proposal covers, section dividers, callout graphics, illustrations, iconography, and other branded assets.
• Develop executive-level PowerPoint presentations for oral proposals, technical demonstrations, customer briefings, and leadership presentations.
• Adapt AI-generated images and graphics into accurate, editable, and brand-compliant assets.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting accessibility, formatting, compliance, branding, and client-specific requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in a Federal Government or GovCon environment.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Advanced PowerPoint presentation design skills and experience with diagramming and visualization tools such as InDesign, Premiere Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Draw.io, or Lucidchart.
• Experience with AI-powered creative tools, including Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Draw.io, or comparable generative AI solutions.
• Knowledge of brand guidelines, color theory, contrast, image formatting, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a portfolio of 10–15 design samples is required.

Nice to have

• MS or MBA.
• Experience with video production for marketing, social media, or customer-facing communications.
