Senior Software Engineer (Healthtech)

Location: Hybrid position based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $127,500–$195,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain critical APIs and data pipelines for clinical workflows and real-time data exchange.
• Drive application-platform architecture in line with team capabilities and the future product roadmap.
• Collaborate with product, design, machine learning, infrastructure, clinical, QA, and regulatory teams.
• Uphold engineering standards through code review, testing, integration, and quality-focused development.
• Mentor teammates and share technical knowledge to support continuous learning.
• Ensure reliability, data integrity, industry compliance, validation readiness, and inspection readiness for the SaaS platform.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• 5+ years of full life cycle software development experience.
• Experience designing and building Python applications with FastAPI or Django.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS and the ability to work autonomously with distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-experts and participating in client-facing meetings.

Nice to have

• Healthtech experience with HL7, HL7 FHIR, or DICOM.
• Experience with Vue, React, or other modern frontend JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Experience deploying and monitoring VPNs.
• Advanced degree in a related technical field and strong organizational skills.
