Senior UX Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid position local to North Billerica, Massachusetts, or Brooklyn, New York, with a minimum of one in-office day per week. Travel 2–4 times annually.

Salary: $69,250–$118,250 per year, plus eligibility for the company bonus plan.

What you will do

• Design clear, intuitive experiences for the Educator platform.
• Develop concepts collaboratively with editorial, design, development, and subject-matter teams.
• Transform concepts into diagrams, storyboards, sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity functional prototypes.
• Create UX documentation and collaborate with Agile development teams to support accurate implementation.
• Maintain and improve existing products while defining, planning, and prioritizing user requirements.
• Identify and solve UX problems throughout the design process and present recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing rich interactive experiences, preferably for educators and students.
• Portfolio demonstrating innovative products and improved user experiences; portfolio submission is required for consideration.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI processes, user-centered design, user engagement, information architecture, information design, and communication design.
• Experience designing AI-enabled interfaces and workflows, including conversational chatbots, personalized content, predictive systems, or adaptive systems, with awareness of AI best practices and ethics.
• Proficiency with UX/UI prototyping tools, preferably Figma, and interest in generative AI tools such as Figma Make or Claude Code.
• Knowledge of mobile and web interaction patterns, user and market research, accessible design, WCAG, and Universal Design for Learning, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with K–8 curricula.
• Classroom teaching experience or experience working closely with educators and students.
