Principal QA Engineer - Data

What you will do

• Define and implement the Data QA strategy across data platforms and products.
• Design and introduce scalable automated testing frameworks for data solutions.
• Develop testing approaches for ETL/ELT pipelines, transformations, integrations, and reporting layers.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across large datasets.
• Lead root-cause analysis and help resolve data quality issues.
• Mentor QA Engineers and drive best practices across automation, quality engineering, and test management.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Data QA, Data Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles.
• Strong experience testing modern data platforms, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Excellent SQL skills for interrogating, validating, and troubleshooting complex datasets.
• Experience building and implementing test automation frameworks and defining complex test scenarios.
• Experience with cloud-based environments, ideally AWS.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing QA professionals, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Python experience for test automation, test data creation, or data validation.
• Experience with Lakehouse architectures and modern data platforms.
