Senior Automation Test Engineer (Payments & Microservices)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with up to 2 remote days per week. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites for Angular web UIs and backend microservices.
• Use Selenium or Cypress to automate functional and non-regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers to validate RESTful APIs, web service integrations, and client-side functionality.
• Translate user stories and use cases into comprehensive test plans.
• Perform UAT and homologation, log defects, and ensure quality coverage across payment platforms.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Selenium or Cypress.
• In-depth knowledge of Angular web frontends, REST API testing, and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of multi-threading, non-blocking code, and data-oriented application design.
• Familiarity with Agile-Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
• Fluent English with excellent spoken and written communication; existing legal right to work in the EU required.

Nice to have

• Experience with card payments, monétique, or merchant acquiring.
