Staff Frontend Engineer (SecureAI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid role with an in-person onboarding experience

Annual base salary: CAD 160,000–220,000, plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable frontend software for Agent Access Policies.
• Build products that enable per-agent, per-resource, and per-tool access decisions evaluated at runtime.
• Own features throughout the lifecycle, including implementation, test automation, delivery, monitoring, and technical-debt reduction.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX, engineering, QA, technical support, and documentation teams.
• Improve engineering standards through code reviews, documentation, testing, monitoring, and retrospectives.
• Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
• Extensive JavaScript experience with Express and React applications.
• Experience shipping robust production-grade services and user interfaces in an agile, product-oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, debugging, reusable components, and scalable web applications.
• Experience working with cloud systems at scale and understanding web security attacks and prevention.
• Strong software development, testing, communication, and product skills; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity, authorization, or IAM protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, or SAML.
• Experience contributing to a zero-to-one, startup-like team.
• Experience with agent frameworks, AI-facing APIs, or LLM developer toolchains.
