Engineering Technician-Adv. Eng. (Advanced Engineering)

What you will do

• Supervise and manage the installation, modification, commissioning, and startup of capital projects, manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility improvements.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and technicians while executing job safety analyses, lift plans, and FMEAs.
• Perform mechanical and electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, qualification, and validation for equipment and process utilities from 24V to 480V.
• Read, interpret, revise, and create engineering drawings, P&IDs, 2D layouts, isometric drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Operate equipment through HMIs and procedures and train maintenance technicians and operators on new equipment, processes, and validation requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering standards, safety codes, welding processes and codes, engineering principles, and common commercial components.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes.
• Working knowledge of facility infrastructure, including boilers and compressors.
• Experience with soldering copper tubing, bending stainless-steel tubing, threading pipe, and installing or removing general to industrial plumbing systems.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to travel up to 5% and lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lb.

Nice to have

• PLC knowledge and experience from basic fit/form/function through advanced applications.
• 2D AutoCAD experience, including modification and creation.
• 3D modeling software experience.
• Industry certifications or experience as a machinist, millwright, welder, boilermaker, or similar specialist.
