What you will do

• Support basic design, testing, and validation activities for Impella Pumps, accessories, and related technologies.
• Document test results, issues, product data, and compliance information.
• Contribute to minor design improvements and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
• Help troubleshoot product issues, field feedback, and escalation investigations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Gather technical data and support technical reviews, project updates, and audits.

Requirements

• Junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a directly related degree.
• Interest in developing technical skills in a regulated product environment.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow directions, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in a fast-paced setting.
• Permanently authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Hiring process

• The position is planned for the Spring 2027 co-op period from January 11 through June 25, 2027.
