Co-op, Sterilization and Microbiology (Medtech)

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States. Position dates: January 11, 2027 – June 30, 2027.

Salary: $25.00–$34.00 annual base salary range for U.S.-based positions.

What you will do

• Support environmental monitoring in controlled manufacturing areas, including viable air, viable surface, and non-viable particulate testing.
• Manage product bioburden and bacterial endotoxin testing performed by contract laboratories.
• Perform and document microbiological quality-control testing, media approval and release, and laboratory data entry.
• Use and support maintenance, calibration, qualification, and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Support microbiology and sterilization investigations, nonconformances, CAPAs, requalifications, and test-method validations.
• Generate and revise procedures and work instructions, participate in training, and support internal and external quality audits.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in microbiology, biotechnology, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, verbal communication, and technical writing skills.
• Experience with aseptic technique and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and wear gowning materials in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.

• Interest in ethylene oxide sterilization.
• Previous co-op experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
