Commercial Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid, based at the London Victoria or Melbourn office, with office or client-site attendance required for a minimum of 2 days per week. Applicants must be British citizens or have been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years to meet potential security-clearance requirements.

What you will do

• Partner with consulting business units and senior stakeholders to provide forward-looking financial insight and commercial guidance.
• Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, variance analysis, forecasts, budgets, and sensitivity models.
• Support the full service-delivery lifecycle, including bid modelling, pricing, job setup, profitability monitoring, invoicing, and closure.
• Manage contract and commercial risks, including high-risk assignments, open-book reporting, currency exposure, taxation, and interest implications.
• Oversee working capital, payment terms, debt collection, subcontractor arrangements, and procure-to-pay processes.
• Prepare for internal and external audits, maintain financial controls, and support IFRS and SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Equivalent of a UK 2:1 degree.
• Qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing cross-functional business relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen, advanced Excel skills, and data-analysis capability.
• Previous line-management experience.
• British citizenship or at least 5 years of continuous UK residency may be required for security clearance.
