Senior Enterprise Analytics Engineer – Commercial

Location: Office-based in Berlin, Germany, or in Oslo (Lysaker), Stavanger, or Vindafjord (Nedre Vats), Norway

What you will do

• Build and maintain Silver- and Gold-layer commercial data products in Databricks.
• Translate Commercial stakeholders' needs into data definitions, KPIs, reusable metrics, and scalable analytical solutions.
• Own analytics architecture, data quality, documentation, lineage, and governance for key commercial datasets.
• Align commercial data products with the IT Data team's platform, source pipelines, architecture, and engineering standards.
• Investigate data and BI issues across source systems, transformation layers, and reporting, replacing manual fixes with sustainable improvements.
• Establish analytics engineering standards and AI-ready data foundations for advanced analytics and GenAI use cases.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related areas, with hands-on technical expertise.
• Experience designing enterprise analytical data models, Silver/Gold data layers, and reusable reporting datasets.
• Advanced SQL skills covering complex transformations, data modelling, query optimisation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with dimensional and semantic modelling and modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable data solutions and collaborating with Commercial, Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics teams.
• Experience with PySpark, dbt, Python, data governance/cataloguing, CI/CD, or commercial data is advantageous.
