Senior IT Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom; hybrid and flexible working available

What you will do

• Lead complex regulatory and innovation projects from inception through completion.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and delivery reporting for internal stakeholders, development teams, regional stakeholders, and clients.
• Manage scope, risks, issues, quality, budgets, and Estimate To Complete throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-divisional and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and milestones.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and roadblocks to senior management and C-suite stakeholders.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and mentor junior project managers and team members.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of project management experience delivering complex cross-functional projects at a senior level.
• Experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and/or BPaaS environments and across the software project lifecycle.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile, plus tools such as Microsoft Project and Jira.
• Strong risk management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading multiple projects and technical discussions across international, diverse, and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English required; German is an asset.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Experience with RFI and RFP processes, vendor negotiation, contracting, hiring, and third-party management.
• Exposure to the financial services industry.
