Assistant Accountant (Manufacturing)

Location: Wakefield, United Kingdom; hybrid working available following successful onboarding.

What you will do

• Support the month-end close process and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review financial transactions and ledger activity.
• Assist with management accounts preparation, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions when required.
• Support audit, compliance, and finance activities across the wider business.
• Contribute to process improvement and ERP and systems development projects.

Requirements

• AAT qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience supporting month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach and motivation to develop a finance career.
