Python Developer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Nottingham, England, with expected site presence one to two days per week.

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications for high-assurance security solutions.
• Translate technical requirements into implementation plans, estimates, and deliverable work packages.
• Produce and review design records, technical documentation, training materials, and delivery artefacts.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Investigate customer-reported issues, identify root causes, and provide third-line technical support.
• Share technical insight with sales, marketing, project, and product colleagues while contributing to engineering improvements and team capability.

Requirements

• Commercial software development experience with Python.
• Ability to contribute across software design, implementation, documentation, testing, and technical support.
• Experience working in an iterative or Agile delivery environment with structured sprint activities.
• Ability to investigate complex issues methodically and communicate clear findings and recommendations.
• Willingness to provide technical guidance, share knowledge, and mentor colleagues.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for sensitive defence, government, or law enforcement work, and availability to work from the Nottingham site one to two days per week.
