Software Engineer - Backend - Behavioral Security Products (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and iterate on scalable backend and ML systems, APIs, frameworks, and internal tools.
• Develop features and production components for the Identity Threat Protection product, including systems that detect account takeover, identity spoofing, and data leakage.
• Build LLM-powered features and agentic workflows for automated investigation, triage, and remediation.
• Integrate LLM APIs and agent frameworks while managing reliability, cost, latency, evaluation, prompt design, tool calling, and guardrails.
• Improve system stability, monitoring, performance, operational excellence, and release cycles.
• Collaborate on technical designs, code reviews, roadmap discussions, and on-call operations in an async-first environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of industry experience as a Software Engineer shipping production backend systems.
• Strong Python backend experience and a solid understanding of system design, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Experience with relational databases, modern data storage technologies, AWS services such as S3 and RDS, and deployment practices.
• Understanding of service health, monitoring, incident response, technical documentation, and design discussions.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a distributed environment.
• Genuine interest in LLM-powered features, agentic systems, and GenAI development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.
• Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI or Anthropic APIs into production applications.
• Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, tool or function calling, ReAct-style agents, prompt engineering, evaluation, and AI observability.
