Security Assurance Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; hybrid working with home and Cambridge office, averaging one office day per week

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of customer security questionnaires and vendor due diligence.
• Work with Sales, Product, Procurement, Legal, the Security Manager, and the Cyber Security Engineer.
• Build a central repository of questionnaire responses and supporting security evidence.
• Assess supplier documentation and provide risk judgements that inform Procurement, Legal, and wider business decisions.
• Develop technical security expertise, including future work on integration and API reviews.

Requirements

• Experience in security, compliance, vendor risk, customer assurance, or a closely related analytical or customer-facing role with a genuine interest in cybersecurity.
• Experience completing or coordinating customer security questionnaires, such as SIG, CAIQ, or VSAQ, or clear evidence of being able to learn this quickly.
• Working knowledge of at least one information security or privacy framework, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or GDPR.
• Ability to translate how a product works into security requirements and risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining security concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines, and sound risk judgement based on supplier documentation.
