Software Architect – T&A (Tools and Automation) (Python)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain a Python-based automation framework used across multiple programs and environments.
• Lead automation solutions through the full lifecycle, from requirements and architecture to testing, deployment, and release.
• Define software design principles, coding standards, and modular, hexagonal, and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Develop production-grade Python code and Shell scripts for system-level automation.
• Design Docker-based build environments and integrate automation into Jenkins CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with internal customers and DevOps teams while documenting architecture decisions, API contracts, and deployment procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field, with relevant software architecture and DevOps experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development and architecture, ideally in automation or tooling.
• Advanced Python programming skills, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and modular architectures.
• Strong Bash or PowerShell scripting experience and proficiency with Docker.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins, as well as automated unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Negotiation-level English is required. German and French are advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, FastAPI, Flask, Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Git workflows, code reviews, semantic versioning, REST, SOAP, or RPC APIs.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, telemetry, domain-driven design, or hexagonal architecture.
