Solutions Architect (Portuguese Speaking) (Data and AI): Leading customer technical strategy and designing production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, real-time analytics, and cloud-native platforms with an accent on distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, and lakehouse architectures. Focus on driving platform adoption, leading architecture trade-offs with senior stakeholders, building custom solutions, and demonstrating live coding and solution-design expertise.
Location: Madrid or Paris, or within a commutable distance

What you will do
- Own end-to-end technical strategy for customer accounts, from discovery through production deployment and consumption growth.
- Lead architecture discussions and design scalable solutions spanning data engineering, machine learning, AI, real-time analytics, and cloud-native platforms.
- Advise customer architects, engineering leads, and directors on technical strategy, architecture, and trade-offs.
- Drive competitive technical wins through custom-built solutions and demonstrate Databricks platform differentiation.
- Develop a technical specialization and coordinate DSAs, SSAs, partners, and other cross-functional resources.
- Provide structured customer and competitive feedback to influence product direction.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
- Strong Python and SQL coding skills, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
- Expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
- Experience with Databricks or the ability to become proficient quickly, plus production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience leading architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders and explaining complex architectures to technical and executive audiences.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, plus a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Databricks certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or the platform.
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse.
- Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider.
- Industry expertise in financial services, healthcare, retail, media, or a similar domain.
