Solutions Architect (Portuguese Speaking)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for customer accounts, from discovery through production deployment and consumption growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions and design scalable solutions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, real-time analytics, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Advise customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors on technical strategy, trade-offs, and platform adoption.
• Build custom solutions to demonstrate Databricks differentiation in competitive scenarios.
• Develop a technical specialization and coordinate DSAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Provide structured customer and competitive feedback to influence product direction.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks or the ability to achieve proficiency rapidly, plus a developing specialization in areas such as streaming, ML/AI, governance, or migrations.
• Production deployment experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure, security, and governance.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, and the ability to work from Madrid, Paris, or a commutable distance from one of these locations.

Nice to have

• Databricks certifications in data engineering, ML, or the platform.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse.
• Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider.
• Industry expertise in financial services, healthcare, retail, media, or another relevant sector.
