Senior Engineer - Project (Manufacturing)

Location: Ballina, Ireland; onsite role in Operations.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery, testing, qualification, and release of new or upgraded production equipment.
• Develop automated system concepts, prototypes, and proof-of-principle tests for manufacturing processes.
• Manage equipment suppliers against user requirements, design standards, project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Execute or support process validation activities, including URS, FDS, FAT, SAT, OQ, and PQ.
• Support new product introductions, cost and manufacturability analysis, process improvements, and waste reduction.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and NPD while supporting troubleshooting, risk assessment, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years of related experience.
• Experience with engineering projects, automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment, and structured project management.
• Ability to conduct process validation, equipment qualification, safety assessments, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to use data and reporting tools such as Excel and SAP.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or Project Management.
• PMP, Six Sigma, PE/CPE, or OSHA 10/30 certification.
• Experience with capital projects, multi-site initiatives, or technology transfers.
• Background in robotics, high-speed automation, heat-seal or web-handling technologies, pneumatics, vision systems, Lean tools, or industrial controls.
