Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Location: Hybrid, two days per week in Porto or Lisbon, Portugal. Candidates must be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Design and execute ETL/ELT pipelines migrating data from SQL Server to BigQuery.
• Design BigQuery schemas and optimize queries, partitioning, clustering, and costs.
• Author, schedule, and debug Cloud Composer DAGs.
• Develop data transformations and automation scripts with advanced SQL and Python.
• Integrate GCP APIs and work with Storage, Dataflow, and Database Migration Service.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with GCP, BigQuery, and Cloud Composer.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL Server migration, partitioning, and clustering optimization.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Availability for hybrid work two days per week in Porto or Lisbon, with residence in Portugal and Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
