Data Engineer (Databricks)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work model with 60% remote work per year and office presence in Sete Rios.

Compensation includes fixed and variable salary, a €10.20 meal allowance per worked day, and transport reimbursement up to €40 per month.

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines using Databricks.
• Contribute to the architecture and modeling of the enterprise data foundation.
• Develop tested, reusable transformation logic and optimize data workflows for scale, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Deliver trusted, documented, and performant datasets for BI analysts and product teams.
• Define data engineering standards, best practices, and documentation.
• Support adoption of modern data practices across the organization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling.
• Practical experience with modern data stack components and Python for data processing and pipeline orchestration.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP, data warehousing, and distributed data processing.
• Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and environment management for data workflows.
• Experience collaborating with BI teams and enabling analytics use cases.
