What you will do
- Build a self-service platform supporting application and data products across database and messaging technologies.
- Evolve the platform for structured and semi-structured data models, stream processing, and data governance.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, and compliant data infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Enable self-service data ingestion, processing, and consumption at scale.
- Mentor teammates, share technical knowledge, provide feedback, and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Experience with one or more programming languages, especially Golang or Python.
- Strong understanding of platform engineering principles and distributed data systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Kafka, including cluster operations, topic and partition design, consumer group tuning, schema registry, and Flink stream processing.
- Fluency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes in a cloud-first environment.
- Strong communication, ownership, accountability, and end-to-end engineering skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Java.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and batch processing.
